So you then qualified for the Olympics, Katie.
It's mad that that section of your life is just forgotten now because of what you've done in boxing though.
You've sent boxing to the stratosphere and now it's like, Katie played football and everyone's like, what?
You were getting emotional there, Katie, talking about that Olympic journey.
And I just think it's powerful that you can still feel the feelings that you were feeling back then so vividly now.
It obviously took so much for you to get there and go on that journey at the time.
It's something that our producer Siobhan actually said was yesterday, she said that when Katie won gold it's a moment that everybody remembers where they were.
And Siobhan told us exactly where she was, she was all the way on the beach with the car radio.
I was like that's old school.
Yeah, but that was one of them moments, wasn't it, for Irish people?
Everybody kind of knows where they were at that time.
The message you sent Eddie, I know Eddie has read it out and we've all seen the message and you did say in it that you wanted to do on the program what you did for the amateurs, for women's boxing.
Did you really believe at the time and did you believe it would be of this magnitude?
Yeah, of course, and you're super loyal to Eddie because you sent that message to him and you see he really has backed you, hasn't he, from the start?
Yeah, yeah, of course.
Was there a moment that you felt that boxing had changed for women?
Yeah, no doubt about it.
I wanted to ask you this as well.
Do you still get nervous before a fight or does that lift you or is it more so like the pressure because you're holding so much weight on your shoulders in terms of being that one to you?
