And did you like being in choir?

I spoke with him last August after his memoir, Actress of a Certain Age, was published.
What got you interested in improv?
On the downside of improv, you say, and this is you speaking, only 1% of improv is funny.
That's a pretty terrible track record.
So what keeps you in it if you have such a low regard for the results?
That's what I was thinking.
I was thinking it's sort of like free jazz, which seems like it's probably more fun to play than to listen to now.
I mean, in the early days when it was radical and like something brand new, it was exciting.
But it's not always so exciting now.
