I think you're right.

This is such a telling moment.

And what it tells us is how weak he is.

He's going to lose on a constitutional issue.

You cannot close down a government building to people because you don't like their speech.

Whether it's the White House or any other government building, that's rock solid black letter law.

You cannot do that.

Second, it does show that he's out of touch, that he's desperate, that he's flailing around trying to find some enemy to create.

And he doesn't like the sound of the news that he's seeing because it accurately reflects the failures of his administration.

And that's what this really says.

The American people know the facts of their own lives and the facts of their own lives demonstrate that this guy is making their lives worse.

And there's no amount of flailing at the press that you can do that's going to get out of that.

This is basically what he's telling us.

Somebody please stop this.

Well, I think Eugene is absolutely right that when things like this happen, reporters dig more deeply and successful administrations don't leak.

Once they hit a bad patch like this guy's had for most of this year, they start leaking.

And as a result, what this tells you is that people see this as another part of what he is doing.

It's all about him.

He doesn't want to hear the criticism.

He wants to do what he wants at the Kennedy Center.
