One of my first ones I made this year is I will never, as long as I live, go out to dinner with more than one person.
That's it.
Because I was persuaded to go to a dinner to celebrate a famous friend who shall be nameless in an ambassadorial residence about six months ago.
And there was maybe 45 people there.
And about halfway through the main course, I thought, if I stay here, I'm actually going to pick up the water jug and brain the person next to me.
So I need to go.
And I went.
And after that, no more socializing of that kind.

I think that this is a problem.
There's a fascinating thing in The New Yorker this week with Obama.
And Obama says that he has stopped commenting on things that Trump says because he says that Trump has succeeded in turning the whole world into a commentator on him.
And that this is, Obama doesn't say it, but this is just another example that us grown ups in a national broadcaster are actually discussing whether he's barking on about his prospective daughter in law or his son.
Yeah, but I like it still.
