His lawyers argue that the government turned a private dispute into a federal case.
Rozier has pled not guilty to charges that he tipped off gamblers that he would leave a game early a couple years ago.
The charges have prevented him from playing at all this season.
His lawyers say the indictment does not allege Rozier placed any bets on himself or that he knew information about his injury would be sold.
What Betters ended up doing with that info, they argue, had nothing to do with Rozier.
He is due back in court for another hearing in March.
