And I know that sounds really patronizing and trite, but I teach close relationships at NYU and I see the allergy to having face-to-face interactions that are uncomfortable.
I think you need to go out with your friends in person.
Do not be a house goblin and sit at home and watch TV all day.
Go out and socialize.
You know, talk to people who are of a different status than you, like your teachers or your boss or whoever in person in those jobs that don't really seem to matter so much right now.
Develop that muscle.
If you don't have a romantic partner, fine.
Find an uncomfortable roommate to talk to.
Somebody.
