I think, I think that he struggles to read the field on the fly like that.

When he, when he asked to like re diet, like he's reading the field pre snap.

He takes the snap, fakes the handoff, then turns around.

Now he's got to reread the field.

It's something that I think will come with reps.

And I, you know, in years past at the college level, they ran a lot more pro style stuff where you're not just living in shotgun all the time.

And those reps kind of happened going into the NFL.

This was not really a huge rookie turning point.

you know a decade or so ago uh but it is now and i'm not really here here's why i'm a little optimistic about this because the numbers are bad and he was not good at this um there's some level for some room for optimism because he was very effective from the shotgun and running the rpo in the zone reads right where those are different than play action over sure i mean

Right, but I do think that some level of the play-action not working had to do with the run scheme just never really being that dangerous late in the year, especially when Skadaboo left and Tyrone Tracy was kind of refueling his way back into the first running back role where you had Devin Singletary kind of jump him on the depth chart a little bit.

The play-action wasn't working because no one was really... Not solely because of this, but when no one's biting on the play-action, then...

I mean, it's going to be difficult for even someone who's good at it.

Right, and my point isn't to exonerate him.

My point is, looking forward with a Greg Roman run game coordinator, I think that that part of the problem is not going to exist anymore.

I do think that teams are going to have to have a long commitment to stopping this rushing attack.

And because he was so effective in the zone read game, in terms of that, like...

I think that the room is there for him to continue to get better and the structure around his play action will make it easier for him.

So there is that at least.
