People being on the same page is important for any sport, any team sport.

But for the defensive backfield at the NFL level, one false step in the wrong direction and a wide receiver's breaking free –

Communication in the back end is super important in Spags' defense, especially when you have blitzes coming from all over the place.

You're calling blitzes more often than most other teams.

That is something that Denard Wilson is going to stress and emphasize, is communication.

It's going to be key for all those disguised looks.

So if...

If he's got experience keeping defensive backs in good communication and all on the same page, I think that'll translate over to Denard Wilson pretty well.

I like that kind of flip-flop from Steve Spagnuolo to Denard Wilson.

I think also this hire probably means more than like the defensive line coach or whatever.

Like from Denard Wilson point of view, probably John Harbaugh point of view is they probably like to build that defense from back to front rather than from front to back.

So I think that this is probably going to be a really important hire.
