Carmen Bristolo was interested in staying.
The Giants are interested in keeping him.
Nothing happens on that front for a while.
And then all of a sudden, you just get these random tweets from Adam Schefter or Mike Garofalo.
It's like, don't forget, Todd Munkin, actually a candidate in Cleveland.
They haven't forgotten about Todd Munkin in Cleveland.
Every once in a while.
And then all of a sudden, you get the Giants requesting to interview Davis Wett.
And then a day or maybe two days later, you find out Todd Munkin goes to...
and then all of a sudden all these interviews are requested.
I don't think that they were prepared for this, and I think that they had these names in mind, but they didn't make any official... No, they weren't interviewing anybody because they fully expected Todd Munkin to be their offensive coordinator.
I'll also agree.
Todd Munkin, I think, is a good fit for...
john harbaugh having to come here and just build a staff and build a culture and build everything i think it's an easy transition i think it fits with jackson dart and his skill set it's what john harbaugh wants but it's not like todd munkin is like this offensive guru that is a hot commodity around the nfl especially certainly not the same way that john harbaugh was where people were literally firing head coaches after he became available yeah
So there are other exciting options available.
I would have been perfectly fine with Todd Munkin coming here, but I think that this opens up the possibility for some more exciting things.
But I do think that that puts a little bit more work onto the building a culture and building an identity side of things.
So there's a lot to go over, and we'll have a whole episode on those options.
Yeah, and there's already like a nice chunk of names out there.
So, I mean, you need four interviews there.
