So people like her father's age and the age of these deputy marshals, most of these people were probably in the war, whether it was the First World War or the Second World War.

Her father was undoubtedly in the Second, but some of the older gentlemen might have been in the First, but probably the Second World War.

But most of these people probably saw battle.

Right.

And I have to imagine
