International aid to developing nations is being cut across the board, and programs that dealt with disease, water quality, and education, they're all going, going, gone.

It's really created a situation where people are on the move, and it's not because they want to be, it's because they have to be.

And who can blame them?

Do we expect people to just accept their fates without trying to do better for their families?

Look, I'm very pro-immigration, but it's not the economic reasons that shape my beliefs.

It's my personal experiences.

I have a lot of friends who are immigrants, and they've all contributed greatly to this country.

They're as Canadian as I am, maybe even more so, because they've experienced the other side and have chosen this country.
