I went right to the hospital before mania was over.

And my memory didn't even start coming back till, I don't know, it was 4 or 5 in the morning.

You know, it's kind of like you see on TV when the doctor comes in and asks you, you know, what's your name?

And, you know, how old are you?

They did that about every 10 or 15 minutes.

And you didn't know your name?

I had no clue.

Crazy, the two people that I knew, this is what's crazy, is I knew who Michelle was, and I knew who Vince was.

I couldn't have told you my name.

I couldn't have told you where I was at.

It was really, really bizarre.

And, but...

And then, you know, once I recover from the concussion and I start training again, you know, I'm wondering if I'm going to come back the next year.

It, you know, self-doubt kind of starts to set in.

Obviously, at that point, I'm getting older.

I'm in the twilight of my career.

But...

there was nothing that was really, there was nothing that was real significant that I could point out to say, oh, that's right there, that's where I got concussed.

So, you know, you've probably heard the old adage, like fighters get old overnight, right?

And there's just so much and so many bumps that you can take.
