When the rain delay hit I sent them upstairs to the suite with like the business I guess so they could stay dry because we're getting rained on and I went down and I was called down to a meeting with the Indians GM Chris Antonetti and the Commissioner because they what you guys might not know this cool story Called down for a meeting to talk about the rain delay so well the first cool thing is as I'm cutting through our clubhouse to get to the meeting because it's in like the umpires room so the quickest way down is cutting through our clubhouse and
And I look around our clubhouse, I'm like, where the is everybody?
I'm like, normally everyone's at their locker, you know, getting dry clothes on or whatever, in a rain delay, looking at their phones.
I'm like, where is everyone?
I remember like asking, where's everyone?
They're like, they're in the weight room.
And I looked and you could just see like the blue jerseys.
all like gathering together.
And obviously I didn't go in, but I'd be like peeked in and I'm just like, oh, this is awesome.
Like our guys are rallying.
You guys can tell the story of what happened.
I've heard it from each of you guys, but so proud that like all the stuff about winning and connectedness that we talked about, I felt like we'd already won.
Like when I saw you guys at your instinct, after blowing that lead,
and having rain delay in the World Series, instead of sitting at your lockers or moping or getting involved in your own on your own phones, you had the instinct to come together.
It felt like, man, we already won this game or we're already winners anyway.
But then I go to the little room with Commissioner Manfred and Chris Antonetti and the meteorologists and all the officials.
