It taps into everything they already have.
The broker dealer model is proven to be resilient and helpful.
And, you know, you can already hold things directly with the TA in a traditional system.
So that's already available to you.
And people are choosing the broker dealer street model because it just works and it's very good.
So that's coming along as well.
So maybe institutional finance will want to stick with that.
And they're waiting for that unlock from the DCCs of the world.
And then you've got the issuer sponsored token piece, which, you know, obviously gives more control.
to an issuer in some ways, but is reliant on massive amounts of market structure to enable it, particularly around liquidity, etc.
And so, you know, that is going to take longer to come on chain because, you know,
ultimately no one is going to buy a stock at a 10 basis point spread wider than uh where they if they could buy off chain or if they could buy it through a dtc model because you're not economically incentivized right so the spreads either need to be tighter or you need to have a very explicit value add and things like collateral mobility and things like that already exist in in in tradfi and they all already exist in that dtc model so i think what we're going to see is like different
There'll be different things for different folks as we progress over time.
I'm just using the equity dynamic as equity market as an example, but the same is true for funds, repo, tokenized credit, private credit, all these different things.
There will be different parts of the market which will adopt different things.
So like money market funds have done very well because they've been almost kind of adjacent to the stable coin payment argument.
People want yield when they get somewhere, right?
Tokenized funds are the same.
But actually, for TradFi, the much bigger unlock is probably going to be private markets.
If we can successfully think about private markets and give strong investor protections, strong issuer protections, and also resilient market structure, that's going to be a massive unlock for institutional investors, particularly pension funds, etc.
