We did this study for a couple of reasons.
It's you know, it's a a deep dive going into the homes of people living with dementia and their care partners multiple times over two to ten weeks to really learn about the caregiving relationship and the role of music in caregiving relationships and
This study occurs because you can't look at music in a vacuum.
Music is one of many meaningful activities.
And so one of the first questions we asked everyone was, What are your favorite activities?
How have these changed over time?

And you know, at the end of the day we found that we had actually gotten a tremendous amount of data on musical activities ranging from
Creative outlets like sewing and quilting, to outdoor exercise, to deep-seated passions for sports and car races, um, to you know, pleasure with family and spiritual engagement, especially in spiritual communities.
