him but the fact that a mid table team in the Premier League is able to put someone like that in in into their starting eleven straight away and, you know, we saw how dominant he was, I think that just goes to show, yeah, the level of competitiveness throughout the division.
Well, the classic sample size is nine hundred minutes, ten games.
Um, but even that really, you know, you look at, for example, teams this weekend who are playing, other teams who maybe aren't quite as prepared, they're in kind of transition states as as as Adrian mentioned, there are, you know, injuries and players aren't quite up to scratch.
There are teams with, you know, within that ten game windows have different kind of fixture difficulty and we're looking at it like that.
So even then it's not really very easy to make
kind of robust judgments.
I think you're really looking until after Christmas is when it all really starts to settle and we can say, look, these teams are are looking good.
These teams are maybe a bit in trouble.
But you know, if you want to take a bit more of a statistical approach, um our colleague at the athletic Mark Carey, he likes to write an article around this time of year to remind us about some research done back in two thousand and nineteen, where they basically looked at how stable the Premier League is
week by week they compared the Premier League table after game week two, for example, with the final table after game week thirty-eight.
And they used twenty-two seasons of data, so pretty, you know, pretty pretty big sample size, which is which is what we're after.
