But David, that comes across in your comedy as well.
Your characters are exactly that caricature, I think, of accentuated vulnerability.
of like you know this uh you know obviously is taken to an nth degree but there's a kind of connection that the that we can feel with those characters because they're they have fallen on hard times but at their core there's something good
you know, that's in there, but nevertheless, like life and circumstances and all the rest of it have conspired to put them in these situations.
And there's some of it very sweet about that.
And something incredibly amusing too about that kind of, I've almost over this amplified sense of vulnerability.
And that's why I'm instantly connected to your characters, your podcasts.
I think those are the things that really make it very watchable, very listenable.
And I'd say I've been in the States for a while.
yeah and you just don't have the comedy is so different it's so scripted you see the punchlines coming from a mile off and it's there's something quite comforting actually about just watching british comedy and listening to you guys another another comics from the uk uh because it's such a i think it's also quite a unique thing to the uk as well being just open about vulnerabilities and just being out there do you know what i mean thomas what what about what sometimes there are comments thrown at the podcast where people write
What's their insecurity?
Well, that would be what I guess one should never psychoanalyze these things, but I would guess that would be...
guess that would be we're allowing you to do it here okay thank you okay uh well get us up the chance okay this is dynamite um yeah i think this is what freud would be would call projection yeah yeah uh you know um
It's when, when we tried to create masks for ourselves in, into the, into the world and we, we hold ourselves to a certain standard, right?
Like we expect this standard of perfection and we're going to hold, hold ourselves up a hot coals.
Well, then I'm going to expect that of you too, right?
Is, you know, so how can you make all these viewers, uh, laugh and get all this way up the charts with this, with all these imperfections and all these insecurities, um, you know, when, you know, I'm pushing myself into the world, trying to be perfect and not, not having the same level, you know what I mean?
Yeah, or that one's actually got a decent point.
