Again, very important question.

Specifically to the Russian outer space system, I don't want to come into too much detail here in an open forum, but what I can say is that any deployment of that system would be a violation of the Outer Space Treaty.

So sort of directly focused on sort of the arms control piece of it.

The Russian exotic systems are getting crazy, even for the Russians.

uh so uh i think this uh uh the president's approach uh again to the in the ranking members earlier question uh about other bilateral uh as well as you know other multilateral ways to get at the problem um the answer is yes uh that's not that's obviously a system that diplomatically we would pressure aggressively

uh pressure the russians and i'm sure it'll come up in our uh p5 uh engagement which is imminent uh so um again i i don't want to talk too much more about the russian capability and open forum um but uh certainly the the exotic systems the underwater system the poseidon uh the burvestnik which is their nuclear-powered cruise missile these are all systems uh that that fall outside of new start to your point um that uh we need to have a uh
