You're striking at the heart of something that I'm increasingly focused on is what does this mean for humanity long term?
When you put into sort of the control regime in place, that's really what it is.
It's a control regime.
What does that do to people long term?
Because to me, ultimately, it's anti-life and anti-human.
That's what we're giving up.
And for as long as I'm alive, I'm going to continue to defend and support life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Because that's central to what it means to even be a human being.
It's the being part of human being that's really what we're losing.
Well, I could be somewhat flippant and say we have to keep being a human being.
We just have to keep being.
But that does mean there are risks.
There's risk to be yourself and still continue to express yourself despite all the attempts to control it and private side it, to say it that way.
but that's what's at risk.
The core, the heart and core of what it means to be a human being is really what is at stake here.
And see, that's what I keep, even in my more formal presentations, one of the core questions I will ultimately come to in various ways, depending on the fora and the audience, is what future do we want to keep?
It's a fundamental question.
