And the Vancouver Canucks have been failing to do that.

They've been abusing this fan base.

Hope and the payoff as well.

The payoff eventually.

The moment of joy, right, yeah.

Which Knicks fans got in spades after, you know, 50 long years plus.

But the Canucks have been abusing their fans for too long.

They've been lying to them, right?

They've been selling the fakest, thinnest version of hope.

And for the most part, when I've been talking about it, I've, you know, there's pushback.

There's people who don't want to hear it.

And fair enough.

It's sports.

Like it's not as important as we cover it to be, you know, with all the minutia mattering and on and on.

And so I think I can get a little bogged down with this like editorial point of view that I think is fair and correct and reached in the right way.

But that nonetheless, you know, can be a little bit inhospitable in terms of the aspirations, especially of, for example, a new front office that's just sort of congealing and being born, as it were.

That's getting their bearings right now.

And on Friday, the Canucks, or Thursday night, I guess, late Thursday night, because the Canucks love to announce things outside working hours.

Yes.

They hired an assistant general manager.
