Like it's and and that's the beauty of perfumery, isn't it?
That you can take something, you know, as as unpleasant as that and make it beautiful.
I think that's that's really, really fun.
Yeah, you have to build it has to have all the different building blocks of the pleasant and the unpleasant to make the full picture and that's where the the beauty comes in.
Uh so one thing that I imagine must be really tricky on your role is this element of translation.
And you you have to take the client's thoughts and feedback and turn them into something tangible for the perfumer.
So when they say it's too musky, you're trying to work out, well, what do you mean by too musky?
And that must be really different for everybody.
And I imagine some of the people that
working with don't have the same
uh advanced language or understanding of fragrance that uh that you do.
How d how do you develop that skill?
Have you have you found that a challenge and and how have you built that?
Yeah.
And that comes down to questions.

It's about asking the right questions.
And I imagine also it's about having to be it comes back to what you said earlier about that emotional intelligence, Julie, doesn't it?
Around reading the body language and the the the reactions of people because someone may not be able to articulate that they don't like it, but you can probably have a good grasp of whether they don't like what they're smelling, but you have to then draw out why.
That must be the challenge.
