It's funny that we spent some time there talking about this new gourmand trend, especially around the idea of savory gourmands.
Mann is such a wonderful fragrance house.
They were recently at Barnes Fragrance Fair.
And they brought with them a tasting menu of fragrances that they'd created.
This was their perfumers menu with a number of demo accords, which were, I suppose, were showcasing this new trend for Gourmand.
And they had scents that smelled like matcha and tiramisu and lemoncello.
But they also had the ultimate savory fragrance there, which was garlic bread.
And I just thought it was such a fun way to showcase the clever magic of perfumery, how perfumers can take individual components to create something so specific and recognizable, something like garlic bread.
And do it in such a way that you feel like you are smelling something that's not there.
You smell this and you can see, you can picture in your mind's eye.
Garlic bread, but there's no garlic bread there.
It's just clever and it's fun.
