What they're doing is they're trying to shape something from something very abstract and find the exact thing the client wants.

It's it must be really, really kind of exciting to work on that journey.

And I'd really love to know a little bit from you about how you approach the development of a fragrance from brief to bottle.

So when you receive your brief, what's your next step?

What then happens?

I know it's a long journey.

But I'd love to hear more about it.

Yeah.

So when, say for example, you've done that, you've got your brief, you've had a bit of a look into what what that could be uh shaping its way in terms of a a fragrance, you know, what marketing input is, whether we're going to start from a position of something we already have but want to adapt or something completely from scratch.

And then you get your first round of submissions from the perfumer.

I'd be really interested to know what does that conversation then then look like.

like when you've got those rounds of mods.

Because I imagine it really depends.

Sometimes they can be really, really close to what you think it needs to be, you're ready to kind of take into the client, or it could be the opposite of that.

So what's that first kind of conversation look like between the two of you?

Yeah, I imagine that's quite a good tool to have because also it depends on your client's level of fragrance knowledge, doesn't it?

Because I suppose if you've got some who are, you know, a a perfume house that is, you know, has lots of fragrances and has done this for a long time, they'll have a better understanding.
