He promised to end the war after the election.

So there's so many things.

There are also in these articles of impeachment things, not just illegal orders that Heggseth shouldn't have followed, but things Heggseth himself initiated and did.

Let me give you a couple examples.

He degraded the capacity inside of the Department of Defense to minimize civilian casualties.

There's a whole department and infrastructure and computers and people.

He's basically trying to wind that down, and the consequence of that was predictable.

The hit on the schoolgirls that happened, where, you know, 200 people died in a school on the first day of the Iran war.

You'd think on your first day you could get the targets right.

But he's, you know, degraded the the ability to do that.

And then he also went after Senator Mark Kelly.

Uh you know, I wouldn't probably vote with Mark Kelly one percent of the time, but I am worried when the Secretary of Defense tries to abridge the freedom of speech of a sitting US Senator and f uh veteran of the military.

Yeah, he's promoted a culture uh inside of the of the Defense Department where he says, Oh, those rules of engagement and those lawyers, they're just getting in the way.

And you know, we need to have maximum lethality and minimum legality or whatever is he tried to make a poem out of it.

I quoted him on the floor, I don't remember his poetry.

But here's the problem with that.

If you don't follow the norms of war, for instance, if you kill the wounded, if the people who are stranded at sea because you attacked a boat, if you go back and bomb them again when they're no longer engaged in combat, instead of trying to rescue or capture them, you're inviting that same treatment on our own soldiers in future conflicts or in this conflict in Iran.

Moral high ground that's been established by the Geneva Convention and and other widely accepted rules of engagement, then you invite that on your own troops.

So that's one of the and then also when you when you go bomb fishing boats instead of interdicting them like the Coast Guard uh would, then you're inviting those if you know, if there is a real drug trafficker, they're not going to subject
