In a way, I would say Jefferson doesn't.
And that's why Jefferson is just a big old hypocrite.
Spends his whole life writing about liberty and philosophy, yet does it living off the sweat of captive humans.
Whereas Washington, after he steps down from the presidency, does get interested in the abolition of slavery and starts reading pamphlets about it.
He really did seem to have a different approach.
I would say don't diss Madison here, though.

I think is underappreciated and I think stands right after Washington.
I think Madison's the second most important founder.
Washington wins the revolution.
I don't think another general might have.
So Washington gives us the country.
Madison designs the country.
