I mean, I guess I was super confused about what, if anything, we should be doing to support her.

I mean, no one seemed to be taking any of my concerns really that seriously, not doctors, not teachers, not other professionals at this point in time, just kind of

even friends and family kind of discussed or at the very least minimize my concerns.

So I was confused about that.

I was frustrated.

And then I was kind of beyond insulted when I thought what he was telling me was that I didn't even love my child properly.

You know, and yes.

And I, if I look back now and this is something I say to, you know, I meet with a lot of people who are just kind of starting to begin this discovery process as, um, you know, I've done a lot of the research, you know, so I think I'm kind of a little bit of a resource for some people and I just talk to people or whatever.

And what I've learned and what I always say to them is that if I could go back, you know, what you know about your child and, um,

I want everyone to know that no one knows your child better than you.

And I don't care how many letters are at the end of their name or how many years of experience they have in a specialized area.

You are connected to that child in a way none of them will ever be.

And so I just wish I would have been able to harness that at that time.

And I mean, I know that's not probably part of the process and I wouldn't have gotten to that if I hadn't been through all that.

But I just think that's such an important point for all of us to remember as we're raising these kids, which is even if a million people diagnose or tell you something, if it doesn't feel right or whatever, question that, dig into it more, do what you need to do because you know.

Yep.

So important.

And I think, you know, as you were as we're talking through this, I mean, I think the other thing that's kind of the obvious elephant in the room, but

is fear.
