If it's someone like a Malik Willis who gets an opportunity to be the starter and has a good year like that, I think that's a different story than bringing in one of these veterans or what the Giants tried to do last year with Russell Wilson and James Winston.
If you were telling me that you can get Malik Willis for what you paid Justin Fields, I'd say, okay, I could see that.

I saw Dan Orlovsky put out that he thinks it's going to be $40 million himself.

And the Jets can't do that.
What the Jets need to do, I believe, is they need to take all of this draft capital that they have this year
eat this dead money that's on their cap this year, and then next year load up again with more draft picks, load up with a free agency bundle that they'll have so much money to spend next year with the cap going up and all this dead money coming off of the cap.
Part of it is going to be the patience of the owner because the fans are going to be impatient.
You know that.
The fans are going to be screaming and yelling all year long.
That's what I fully expect.
Well, how much leeway is Aaron Glenn going to have is really the question, because if you're focusing on the next year's draft and building this team and all of these things, I mean, I think that what Woody Johnson is going to need to see is a much better defense, a much more competitive team, and a team that wins at least six games.
Because anything other than that, I mean, they go through another head coaching change.
