Being in contact really brings those things to the fore.

I just had to laugh because yesterday I was with a client working with some really strong global patterns she had.

I didn't even expect to do that.

I thought I was going to lie to her, but you had me moving and it's great.

So there's a way somehow that there can be doors that open up.

Sometimes if someone, I get this a lot in my classes, how do I do this movement stuff when my clients just expect to lie there?

And my answer is, first, let's not assume they expect to lie there.

That does come with our assumptions, but those assumptions are meant to be broken, really.

CI being contact improvisation.

You're describing something, it's beautiful what you're saying, you're describing something really important, that willingness to relate to the unknown, and to listen, and to respond, and to let the options unfold.

So that is something that I think is common to a lot of these things we're talking about.
