You you gotta have that base.
You gotta have a little bit of that that weight.
You know, it's physics, man.
I mean, you got a guy coming at you that's two hundred and ninety pounds with force and he's coming off the ball and you're kind of catching him, you gotta have that base, you gotta have that size, you gotta have that strength, you gotta have that core strength and the ability to kinda to get yourself set underneath uh without putting a lot
of pressure and strain on those back muscles.
And that's how you usually do it with your legs and your butt.
Yeah, I I I'm concerned about him too.
Uh I'd like to see uh he didn't practice today e either, so I'd like to see him at least get in and play some of these preseason games and kind of get that rust off because

is those five guys they've got to be out there together.
It's it's such a unique position.
When I say position, I'm talking about the offensive line, position of of having those five guys working as one, the communication, the expectations, the understanding of what guys can and can't do, uh, you know, the timing.
All those things are just so important in pass protection and run blocking that if uh if if things are just off a little bit,
You know, prime example, Dave's Ottenai on a scoop block against the Miami Dolphins in nineteen ninety I think it was nine nineteen ninety, when uh Dave got called for a holding call.
We were just a little bit off.
It was m partly my fault, partly his fault.
He shouldn't have grabbed him, but I probably should have stayed on a little bit longer, but it was all about timing.
And that timing was off a little bit and Dave got caught for a holding.
