Uh you know, he looked to me like he was a safety.

Uh he's not a real big guy, but you know

You can you can get away with that a little bit in the in the NFL if if you have good vision, good reading, you play with good leverage and you can get up there and and you can make some plays with your speed.

You can get away with that.

But it certainly is gonna be

uh a tough road a hole with a smaller linebacker like that.

And g and by the way,

Um I was at first I was like, you know, we're we're getting lost on all these boots.

The Rams ran more boots in the first quarter.

It seemed like every play they ran um um when they needed a play, they ran a boot and and and they were taking advantage of the speed and the quickness and the aggressiveness of our linebackers.

And J and Basa was one of those guys that they kept flying to the football and then all of a sudden the quarterback kind of just rolled out.

Uh here comes a uh tight end or or a wide receiver kind of crossing and and they were able to dump it off and make some plays and look like those guys were wide open.

So, you know, it's okay to be aggressive, it's okay to be physical, it's okay to, you know, to wanna make big plays and have some tackles for loss, but you also gotta read your keys.

And that's one of the things.

If I'm coaching Jeffrey Basa this week, I'm saying, Hey, listen, I love the aggressiveness, I love the speed you play with.

But read your key.

Because we you know, i it comes up in a in a real game and you're flying to the right to try and make a play and the quarterback is booting out to the left and the guy is crossing your face who catches the ball for twenty five, thirty yards, th th that's not a good uh place to be on the defensive linebacker position.

Yeah, listen, I think I wanna see some of the uh offensive defensive linemen play a little bit longer.

Uh I'm not even sure if Chris Jones is gonna play a little bit longer or not, but I'd like to see him at least a couple series 'cause I wanna see what Peter Woods could do with Chris Jones in there.

If it's uh just a uh um you know, Chris Jones in there that he gets more one on one stuff and doesn't get push back in those double teams as much as he did last week.
