I was splitting reps with Mike Webster.

Mike Webster really didn't want to play.

Frank Winters was splitting reps with Dave Zott.

Dave Zott eventually beat out Frank Winters.

Frank Winters was a guard slash center.

And then Dave started, and I started, and they went with it.

We had our growing pains and everything else, but you started to build a cohesiveness.

And like you said, the communication factor, which is so important on the offensive line, and understanding how a guy reacts or how a guy comes off the football and the combination and when they leave, when they don't leave, what they need, what they don't need, and pass protection.

All those little things are so important because those five guys really is the only unit that have to work as one.

And from the left tackle to the right tackle,

All those guys got to be on the same page.

Communication, execution, and understanding how the other guy next to him prepares and gets things done.

I didn't notice it much, and that's not a bad thing.
