It's just not what I thought it was going to be, meaning there is a spot for the Nationals to make the playoffs.
I'm not saying they're going to, but they have a chance to, and therefore I think they have to keep their best players and use other resources to go get a couple of relievers.
That's what I would do.
Boy, I would rather have Skeens because the track record is a little bit longer than Mizorowski.
Deans' delivery and his mechanics are virtually perfect, so I think he's less likely to get injured.
But the best pitcher in baseball this year has been Jacob Mizorowski.
Tony, he just had a start the other day where in the first four innings of the game, he allowed no hits and struck out 11th.
Nobody in the expansion era, 1961, has ever done that.
Four innings in, I got 11 punch-outs and no hits allowed.
He is the hardest-throwing pitcher, at least in the era where we can chart this stuff.
He's the hardest-throwing pitcher we've seen in the last 25 years.
And most important, Tony, he can locate with any pitch that he has.
So a hitter goes up there, he's throwing too hard for you to hit it,
and he's throwing almost all strikes, so you have to swing the bat.
That is his strength.
So I would take Mizorowski for this year, but based on the track record, Skeens has had way more starts than Mizorowski, so I would take him if I had to pick between the two, but that is a really hard choice.
