The beating you take behind the plate
just incredible.
And any catcher that has
an amazing season, I give them extra credit points all over the place because of the defensive position.
Plus, Tony, with all the information out there now and all the responsibilities of a catcher, they're in charge of a pitching staff.
They have to know exit velocity and and and you know
Launch angle for every hitter, all this stuff in order to keep their pitchers straight.
He's really good at that, but maybe it's just taking its toll and yes, I fully expect him to be a really good player next year.
Um, I've seen what you've seen, Tony.
I'm not particularly concerned about it 'cause these are the rules of the game.
You're allowed to request time.
You can't take time.
You're allowed to request it.
And then it's up to the umpire to say, Yes, you w we will take time here or not.
He doesn't have to do that.
And I've seen a lot of right at down to the pitch clock thing, but I don't think it's gonna change
um the game's time and that's really important.
Because of all these changes, the thing that has worked the best is it hasn't slowed down the game.
