It inspires people about nature, and that is what we need at the moment.
We need people to be inspired by nature so that they want to protect it.
I just find it amazing that they're still only, what, eight weeks old?
It's incredible.
And they're just cruising around.
Effortless.
That is effortless, and that bird's been flying for a few days.
It's not even flapping, is it?
It's just cruising around like it's been doing it all its life, whereas in reality, this time last week, it was still on the nest preparing for...
to fly for the first time.
So, you know, that's just that progression as they get more confident on the wing when they're learning, getting more confident, they're exploring their surrounds, they're learning that Rutland's home.

I'm Tim McRill.
I first got involved with Ospreys as a 15-year-old volunteer the second year we were bringing birds down from Scotland.
So I grew up in the local area and I saw this opportunity to come and volunteer.
I was fortunate because a couple of the mentors who really helped me in my early years, Tim Appleton, who was the reserve manager here, who still runs the bird fair, and Roy Dennis, who basically was the inspiration behind the Osprey project.
They're two people who've got a really kind of
proactive approach to nature and to conservation, to really do positive things like reintroductions, to help redress the balance.
And in many cases, we're lacking these species because of the past actions of humans.
