But obviously, the Trump campaign was a total affront to the Republican establishment in a way that Obama wasn't.
But on foreign policy and other issues like Obama was very much critical of the Democratic establishment had the benefit of running against Hillary, who could have represented it.

Also, Trump does do it.
Actually, Trump criticizes other Republicans all the time.
Yeah, right.
Yeah.
They won't criticize him.
But I mean, A, we don't want to be them.
That's why I left them.
Right.
So, OK.
But also, you shouldn't have a false view of how Trump's success work.
Trump's success literally did work by having a full frontal assault on the establishment of an unpopular establishment of the Republican Party.
Right.
And so maybe there's something to learn from that.
Absolutely.
Like basically all the two term presidents except W who like lost the popular vote.
