He started off almost his own publishing Empire called Barely Human.

There were uh written zines and audio tapes and uh used to write him fan letters just trying to know where this uh these critiques would come from.

I first heard one of the episodes of Barely Human, possibly on community radio.

I couldn't get enough.

He writes what he termed at the time music anti histories, about music that's not in public consciousness in general public consciousness, but he'll write about whether it's R.

Burnside or the butthole surfers.
