All the kids, they're performing under under the uh the the uh the choice schools are performing under the average school in the state of Tennessee. matched

What most people forget is that the whole idea of vouchers, the whole idea of school choice came from the 1950s in the immediate aftermath of Brown v. matched

Board of Education. matched

That was when Milton Friedman, the economist, wrote a piece calling for school choice, saying that, you know, we ought to let parents choose where to send their kids. matched

Now, why did that become popular in the 1950s? matched
