It was uh it I can say I was young but I can say it was it was very terrible.

Number one to start.

I'm coming from Zimbabwe where we are native Shona speakers.

Now we're going to South Africa.

I have to learn a new language with people that I don't know.

And uh number two.

You know, being in those refugee camps, um, it kinda like brought a little bit of uh maturity at my young age.

because reality kicked in.

You know, when you are used to sleeping in the house and now you are working somewhere else.

But trust me, it was actually amazing because it was way better to be in those refugee camps than being back home where we knew that situation was very, very terrible.

So um when so after the refugee came, the only place that we could come to at that time was in Hermonas.

So Hermanas is the city where the Hemonada is uh located.

So uh we stayed there from 2008 and uh 2012, that's when I can say

We had our breakthrough because my mother got like a job.

at one of the most uh very popular and amazing and I can actually say that lady became our our saving grace.
