You have more freedom with your humor, so you go the complete opposite side of what you were allowed to do before.

I imagine the crowds, the audiences were quite different as well.

Was it for you then kind of a space you had to relearn a little bit how to work with those crowds, how to bring that new humor to the table?

Or had you learned enough about the rules of comedy that it was a natural process for you to just try something different?

It must be difficult, right?

Because if you're just in your own mind thinking about what do I think is funny, what do I think is funny, it removes a little bit maybe the natural element of what you naturally laugh to and react because you might be overthinking.

You might be looking at a sketch of someone else or you might be looking at a scene in a movie or I'm not sure where you take your inspiration from, but you suddenly start analyzing everything, everything and how it's structured.

Does it lead to some sort of like a humor paralysis or writing paralysis in your own process?

Anything that's interesting, I just write down and then... Just have a little bit of a notebook and just always pick up, oh, this was funny, this was funny and interesting.

Manzai shows are relatively short, uh, standup comedy bits.

I think from what I've seen from the Tokyo, uh, comedy bar club, I always mix it up.

Um, I also relatively short, uh,

Are there plans or do you have dreams of maybe writing like a full, like one hour long, uh, set of performance that you, you'd like to, to have the whole stage for yourself that night and, uh, kind of aim for that?

That's going to be a very cool performance.

Are there opportunities for you to do that here in Japan as well?

These specials, are there stages for that that are open to it?

Or is it more something that needs to be created and established as well?

uh essentially can you just like fill the seats yeah right if i could fill the seats then people yeah i could they'll let me go on for an hour right that's a big project for you and you also have some other projects i think you you're on tour you were on tour you're going on tour depends on when this is coming out but in the states there were the monsters of tokyo so you've got the the little crew uh including yuri as well you go to the states canada

How was it to perform back in the States?

Having kind of built your career here in Japan, worked with a Japanese audience, worked a lot with Japanese language.
