Or maybe explain it.
Or possibly even excuse it at this point.
So anyway, congratulations to the New Haven Ravens.
Wherever the spirit of that franchise may currently reside, you are this week's teal of the week.
And somebody may want to check on me because I'm beginning to think that this segment is becoming a bit of a problem.
Reminis.
This season of empty nesting has been a challenge, to say the least.
But for those of you on the verge who are dreading it, let me also say it also has some upside.
It was a huge adjustment for Christy and I to go from choir concerts and piano recitals and baseball and football games and our previous season of life.
to now our quiet nights at home.
But in the process, I think we've been able to shift from simply hanging on for dear life at a pace of life that was dizzying, getting to actually enjoy one another's company again as a couple.
So when I thought about this week's reminisce I looked back at those early days of our relationship.
When I first met my wife, she was a junior in college at Southeast Missouri State and I was a fourth year, although I'd need a super senior year to actually graduate at Southern Illinois University.
At the time I had this two-door, two-wheel drive Chevy Blazer with a sweet Clarion Pro Audio Stereo System, polished aluminum wheels.
And on our first date, I don't recall any music whatsoever.
I I think we talked the whole time.
But on our second date, if you could call it that, I headed to Cape Girardeau as her guest at the Baptist Student Union Christmas party.
And afterwards we drove around Cape and I happened to pop in my newest C D.
