Feel post punk and postmodern and

Post Holocaust.

A lot of my my father's biggest revelations happened in the Chinese restaurant and you know again not not in a formal interview setup.

He he really doesn't respond well to that formality.

So, you know, there we were sitting in the red viol booth eating, you know, Mongolian beef and drinking double scotches, which is always part of the meal.

And then suddenly the story's

Start pouring out of 'em, they spillin' the tea, these heavy stories, things I never heard before.

And that restaurant booth

became a confessional booth, a Jew a Jewish confessional booth.

And I was writing, I think I was into the third draft, and I just felt that the book needed a spine.

So I made this decision to capture those rapid fire

revelations as as a stage play inside the book.

which is followed by more traditional narrative storytelling that expands on the riffing and the repartee occurring around this, you know, the lazy Susan.

And I I like to describe those scenes as a Passover Seder.
