And really, I wanted to be a landscaper that owned the company.

Like, I would see a 50-year-old landscaper that by that point had employees, and he showed up with a clean truck, and sometimes he sat in there making, you know, with the air conditioning going for half an hour.

I thought, oh, I could do that.

But, like, I don't want to work.

I don't like the heat.

I don't even like dirt.

But I like the idea of that.

I did like landscaping.

I did like the art of landscaping.

But when I thought about payroll...

You know what I mean?

I can't – what am I going to do?

So that's where it was like – and in hindsight, you learn my parents were worried too.

They're like – because I did very poorly in school.

I didn't even graduate high school.

And so comedy was something I could do, like I could get by.

And even now, like remembering my act is a little hard.

About five years ago, I started bringing a binder on stage.

Now, I'm not staring at it.

It still feels conversational.
