So I didn't know what I was going to do for a living, either did my parents.

And I would, I love stand-up comedy, but...

And every time I went there for the show, once I went on a Saturday to see the show, I went every single weekend with my high school friends.

And then after I graduated, I kept going and going.

But, like, I would always hear them go, hey, you know, before they brought up the headliner, they'd do some house announcements.

Hey, New Year's Eve, we have this act coming in.

And don't forget Wednesday, if you think you're funny, it's our open mic night.

But once I did it, I knew that I could do this.

I didn't – you know, I never really thought for a living, but –

You know, there was so much comedy back then.

I was starting to make a little bit of money, even a year and a half later, you know, starting to make 50 bucks a year, 100 bucks for this show.

So and I lived at home still.

So how much money did I need to make, you know?

I think the honest answer, I shouldn't speak for other comedians, is you don't really.

It just happens.

You never go, wait, I could do this for a living.

But I never really did it.

I mean, for the first two years of stand-up, I still had a few jobs here and there.

But I lived at home, like I said, so I didn't need that much money.

But pretty soon after.
