South Carolina beat two top 25 teams in the last three weeks of the regular season. One of which on the road against a rival, Clemson, that now is in the championship. and was so good that SMU only losing in overtime, or right before overtime with a 56-yard field goal, whatever it was. Clemson's so good that SMU still deserves to be in. South Carolina's the biggest travesty of all.
Hottest team in the country down the stretch. Knocking off top 25 teams. Win at Clemson in a rivalry game. And most importantly, I don't know if we have the graphic here. We did this on our show last week. Part of the committee's decision is basing it off of who's playing in games. And it's put in there very clearly. If there's a significant player with injury, that is to be factored in.

Well, I've got news for you. South Carolina was up 17-0 on LSU. when Lenore Sellers, who was out of this world down the stretch this season, 17-0 when Lenore Sellers got injured, and they wound up losing that game with some terrible, two terrible calls that cost them in that game. And so if we're going to factor that in with Florida State a year ago, why aren't we factoring that in?

Now, all of a sudden, South Carolina, in the committee's mind, could be a two-loss team.

Yeah, man, it's a problem. And we were bitching about it in October. Like, wait a second. So, so this team's going to play that team and this team has a buy. Yeah.

And they also, how are we going to pause? And I get it because it's, it's eight and nine and on paper, but when you push back, when, when you, you elevate Boise state to three in Arizona state to four, you're, you're obviously pushing down, you know, so really it's the sixth best team and the seventh best team. So you got to play the winner of six versus seven as the one seed if Oregon.

To me, give me Texas's path where I get to play Clemson at home and then Arizona State to get to the semifinal. Or weirdly enough, please give me Penn State's path. I got to beat SMU who just lost to Clemson and Boise State to get to the semifinal? The five and six seeds are the places to be in this thing. It doesn't make any sense.

It depends on the team, quite honestly. And you can't factor that into a, you know, a... For Georgia, they actually, they desperately need, and it's not just Carson Beck, but they desperately need a buy, if you will. I think they started the season with Clemson. They played the toughest SEC. I think they played the toughest schedule of any team in this thing, still standing.
