No, I understand that. But in the long run, this is a business, though. And in the long run, if they took SMU out and put in one of the SEC schools— They're sending the message moving forward, don't play in your conference championships. And that's a much bigger disaster. So my issue all along has been the committee and how they valued the wins and losses versus the strength of schedule.

No. Stop there. But aren't we supposed to have the 12 best teams? With the caveat of conference championships, which I do like, and we'll get to the seeding part of that, which is a disaster, I believe will be changed next year. But aren't we trying to reward conference champions plus reward the other seven teams that are the best seven teams in college football?

Yeah, but within a range, though. They were never going to drop Indiana beyond kind of where they are, but the one loss kept them in a range.

Yeah, I would have.

It's more the SMU thing, but I actually would have. I applaud the committee because we're trying to get the best 12 teams in here. And Indiana didn't beat a top 25 team. Their strength of schedule is 67. 67 compared to 13, 18, 14 for South Carolina, Alabama, Ole Miss, respectively. And Alabama's got three wins over top 25 teams.

South Carolina beat two top 25 teams in the last three weeks of the regular season. One of which on the road against a rival, Clemson, that now is in the championship. and was so good that SMU only losing in overtime, or right before overtime with a 56-yard field goal, whatever it was. Clemson's so good that SMU still deserves to be in. South Carolina's the biggest travesty of all.
