But no, I actually did an undergrad in turf.
So definitely a different side of it there.
But yeah, both grad programs were in row crops, specifically in cotton, working in cotton agronomy.
So after grad school, I used all that cotton work to be a soybean specialist for the state of Louisiana.
So I did that for a couple of years.
That's the only time that I've lived outside of North Carolina, but got to come home, work for a cotton seed company for a little while, and been with Corteva since the fall of 2021.
It is.
And in fact, oftentimes, you know, the gin will, for lack of a better term, buy the seed off the grower and let that be part of their gin payment.
And it goes to a lot of different things.
It can be crushed into oil.
It can be used as feed.
So it is a true byproduct that makes a difference on the bottom line, right?
Yeah.
The only way we make cotton is by making seed, right?
Because that cotton lint is, you know, a hair that comes off of that seed.
So seed first, cotton comes with it.
Yeah, unfortunately, the last couple years of cotton have been on the lower end, I guess you could say.
Yields have been strong the last couple years, but commodity prices just have not held up there with it.
And there's been a lot of headwinds too, right?
