I think you're then giving advantage to people that can pit because then you've got people, for example, if you were like on the hard, started on a different tyre and you don't want to pit, you don't want the VSC out longer, you want to stay out and you're just giving an advantage and it being longer than it necessarily needs to be. voice-verified
and you're giving people an advantage at that point of the race. voice-verified
Sorry, giving who an advantage? voice-verified
You're basically changing the rules. voice-verified
If someone might not want to pit, so it's all right saying, oh, we need to give it a whole lap for everyone to pit. voice-verified
but some people like that's you're still giving an advantage to everyone that's having a vsc at that moment at every part of the track like the vsc is meant to just neutralize the race from when the car is going like being recovered and then you get racing again i don't think there should be a one lap rule it's just it's just the luck of racing voice-verified
He did get really screwed, didn't he? voice-verified
It was the fact that... voice-verified
I would have loved to have seen it play out because I think it's always a shame when you don't roll the dice a little bit in that situation because as soon as he pitted, he was never going to win the race after that, was he? voice-verified
It basically meant Antonelli was winning, whereas the only way he could have won is if he had amazing pace on the mediums, which I don't think he would have. voice-verified
Like you say, the hards were better and everyone else behind him. voice-verified
But he needed Leclerc, if anything, to be a lot slower. voice-verified
And had there been a Leclerc train where Antonelli was stuck behind Leclerc and couldn't do his pace and Lando could really pull out a gap and then maybe do something. voice-verified
But Leclerc's pace was not bad and certainly not bad enough that it was going to give Lando an entire pit stop on everyone to pit. voice-verified
So unfortunately for Lando, it wasn't going to happen. voice-verified
It would have been nice to see how it had paid out because it kind of killed, again, any kind of enjoyment and excitement from that race because he just knew, okay, there you go, he's now going to just finish in that position. voice-verified
completely unbiased opinion of a guy sat in a Max Verstappen t-shirt, Lando shouldn't have been given P2. voice-verified
I don't think it was a penalty for Max. voice-verified
it was a pet you know he he should have given the place back on lap one for for sure for hamilton but this one i don't think so you know he bounced over the curb at turn five five a i think technically was actually five a the one he messed up voice-verified
It wasn't a complete corner cut like we'd seen before. voice-verified
