Michigan's Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate
Senate Abdul El Sayed trying to put a string of controversies behind him, apologizing Saturday for his response to a March synagogue attack as he works to bring skeptical Democrats aboard his campaign against Republican Mike Rogers.
The Associated Press reporting the apology coming during a meeting with the state's Jewish Democratic Caucus in Lansing.
The controversy dating back to march twelfth, after an armed attacker drove into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township outside Detroit.
They're saying addressing the attack in a March 13th social media video.
Nearly six months later, those remarks following El Sayyed into the general election.
They'll say at facing questions from reporters Saturday at the state Democrat convention.
