Welcome back to the Golfers Journal podcast presented by Titleist, the number one ball in golf.
My name's Tom Coyne.
Thanks so much for joining us.
Very excited for today's conversation.
Now, when we were at Shady Oaks down in Texas last year on the Broken Tea Society tour, we had a great event at the home of Ben Hogan.
Hogan history everywhere, a very special day, made even more special when I came in after golf and learned that my colleague and
Southern California golf champion Mark Mormon had just gotten an impromptu putting lesson from none other than Stan Utley, the legendary putting guru.
If you don't know Stan Utley, well
You're probably a little younger than I am and you weren't grinding to play your best golf in the two thousands.
But he went from PGA tour player to one of the most sought-after coaches in the world during that time with the publication of his must-have golf library books, The Art of the Short Game and The Art of Putting, among others.
Now I had consumed those books cover to cover, so I couldn't believe what Mark was telling me.
