Absolutely.
Hey, Steve, great to be with the Posse.
And yes, if just a year ago today, I was over in Greenland with the Posse and a good Greenlandic friend.
And we were at our former main base there for the United States during World War Two, Bluey West One.
And that was fantastic.
We were there to commemorate for the first time in 70 years for Chaplain's Day, which is in the pantheon of the annals of American history, one of our our deepest and greatest days of heroism.
And this was the sinking of a U.S.
Army transport ship on its way to Greenland with 904 souls aboard, mostly men who were going into combat also, but also 130 civilian workers who were there to staff up our
operation in Greenland, which grew to 20,000 during the Cold War.
We had over almost 27 military installations during World War II too.
So we had been there, again, before the war ever started.
Well, the four chaplains come into play because the ship is hunted from its departure in St.
John's to its arrival almost at
uh greenland and it's um where the men are told to wear life vests the whole time uh because they're getting hunted by wolf pack they end up getting torpedoed the chaplains not only manage the situation keep calm but um and this is two methodist ministers a catholic priest and a jewish rabbi they actually organize on the deck and help the rescue of 230 men and then as the
As the ship slips under the water, they lock arms and are all praying and singing hymns.
So they literally gave their lives for God and country.
At the same time, they're commemorated through Four Chaplains Day on February 3rd every year.
And it really is part of our history and something that the Four Chaplains Medal, again, was at the same level of the Medal of Honor.
So it's, as George Santayana said, it's those who can't remember history are condemned to repeat it.
We see that same current, whether you're talking about things as recent as Georgia 2020.
